Grandma's 80th

Sorry was busy and probably too lazy to blog too until like...now. :)

Venue: Hornbill Restaurant, Sarawak Club

Date: 20th August, Monday

My grandma’s children decided to celebrate this event with their close friends, relatives and some of my grandma’s old friends who were still alive. Preparations had been done months ago to ensure smooth sailing plans and it’s a big family event where my uncle and his family flew back from Sydney for this occasion. My cousin working in Perth too, took leave to celebrate grandma’s 80th. All my grandma’s children were hosts and OCs so we, her remaining grandchildren who are still in Kch (less than half), were ushers. Yeap…that’s rite. I don’t know about my other cousins but I was definitely beat when the nite ended. I was practically running up and down the ball room doing ushering and directing guests to their tables according to a list of seating arrangements. Sure, I didn’t know or probably haven’t seen some of the relatives or the other guests before, so had to stop them at the door to ask for their names. Like some ID check or smth. Lol. And my toes and heels were aching cos was standing most of the time and running around in high heels. Bo pien...ai sui ba. =P Also, had to become photographer that nite for my dad and uncle. Had to help to entertain the guests also and so the nite was also about ‘berbonding’ with relatives and parents’ friends. Tired but easy job bcoz I didn’t have to think much. They were all practically saying the same thing like, “Whoa…so big already ah. I remembered seeing u as a baby last time” or “Are u so and so’s daughter? Aiyo… study in U already ah? U were only a lil girl when I saw u. so fast hoh?”. All I need to answer is “ ya lor…” or “si lor auntie”. Lol…yeah that was it. Well, what to expect at this kinda events rite? Esp when they were the ones who saw you when you were a baby. Okay...enough of that. Well, everything went well and as planned. Food was yummy too! My favourite is the famous Sarawak Club Butter Prawns!! Heheh… We were all tired when it ended but happy and good to see grandma so happy. It was definitely Her Big Day. We luv u, grandma.

With Luv,

Good food and more good food to come. My uncle from Sydney came back so the usual family agthering thingy was go to restaurants for dinner. Wahh...suddenly too much good food past two days in a row. My stomach probably is not used to it or getting to love the idea too much that it boosts my appetite and i have more cravings every now and then. Yes... cravings like a pregnant woman. Adui, like that how can? And... my uncle brought doritos, chocolates and other junk food in which my itchy hands cant resist. okay...probably my stomach is liking the idea of glorious food served. what's worst is all the food makes me lazy. yes..am becoming lazier and this is bad, bad, bad!! howw??

anywayz, kch fest ends tonite. suddenly feel like wanna go pula. when it was there i didnt really bother and only went once i think. now dat it's gone, feel like going. Sigh. silly me!!

T.A.O

Nite-out. Went to meet up with Caryn last Thursady Nite. Had been planning to meet up the past few weeks. It’s either she’s busy or there’s parade going on in the city. LOL. Anywayz, glad that Caryn suggested we meet up after having not seen her for so long. This smart lass is currently studying in Michigan, USA and having her break now but leaving in probably a week or two. Good to see her again. She’s still pretty, funny, slimmer and hasn’t change. We gurlz practically chatted the whole nite and got carried away until we didn’t realize the time. Definitely did more talking than sipping our drinks... we had a good time. =)

Found myself today
Oh I found myself and ran away
Something pulled me back
The voice of reason I forgot I had
All I know is you're not here to say
What you always used to say
But it's written in the sky tonight

So I won't give up
No I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe
Someone's watching over me

Seen that ray of light
And it's shining on my destiny
Shining all the time
And I wont be afraid
To follow everywhere it's taking me
All I know is yesterday is gone
And right now I belong
To this moment to my dreams

So I won't give up
No I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe
Someone's watching over me

It doesn't matter what people say
And it doesn't matter how long it takes
Believe in yourself and you'll fly high
And it only matters how true you are
Be true to yourself and follow your heart

So I won't give up
No I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even if it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe
That I won't give up
No I won't break down
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong
Even when it all goes wrong
When I'm standing in the dark I'll still believe
That someone's watching over
Someone's watching over
Someone's watching over me

Someone's watching over me

:::Just a thought... :::

Seeing is believing..? Is it??
People sometimes still get the wrong picture even though it's right in front of their eyes.
If seeing is believing, then why do misunderstandings still happen?
How can you tell if what you see is right or wrong?
When seeing is not always what it really is, would you choose not to believe?

It’s a hot day again today. Looks like the hot days are here again. If u have noticed the sky yesterday and the past few days, the sky was baby blue in colour or a perfectly fine weather some would say, but there were barely clouds. Yes...that’s how HOT it is and not forgetting the UV rays attacking us with no clouds to shield us. U don’t have to stay out too long to feel the scorching heat. It’s like a burning sensation. No wonder I felt a lil different when woke up this morning. Lol...throat feels odd and nose is insane. Kept sneezing for the past few days no matter hot or cold. Lol..crazy rite? it’s either that or I have a super sensitive nose. And my lips were a lil chapped due to the dryness. Grr…! My dear frens, remember to drink lotsa water k… and gurls, put on your lippie, juz balm or gloss to protect you lips before u leave the house. Cos, seriously...there’s nothing worst adding to the scorching heat than chapped lips.

CIVIC minded

Honda launched its Civic Sedan Hybrid and Civic Sedan Type R in Malaysia yesterday. Test drive cars and the cars itself will be available at Honda Showroom outlets nationwide, except that I’m not sure if our very own JIMISAR has receive the shipment yet. Anywayz, I find these two models rather cool–looking, sporty and sleek. Totally amazing! Plus, they come with huge price tags too. The Hybrid is RM 160k ++ and the Type R is RM 200K ++. Overall, it's the cheapest in Langkawi, way cheaper cos it's duty free. To own a Type R, one can actually give it proper thoughts as an additional 50k or so would entitle you to own a 3 Series Beemer. The 3 Series too, is getting sportier and sleeker...Hmm…my my! Talk about luxurious cars. But, it’s okay…it still doesn’t hurt to check out Civic’s new addition rite?? What are we waiting for?? Check out our two new hotties in town. ;)
