The festival is here
The town is busy
All brightly lighted up with colourful lamps
The people were all dressed in costumes
Regardless old or young, all come to together to enjoy the mood
They all wore a mask on their face
You can hardly tell who they are
Behind those elegant and beautiful artwork
But…Once in a while,
You can only hear the person behind it…
Be it laughters or gossips among each other
They all seemed happy
Probably, if u are lucky…
You could peek at their eyes
Try to guess and see if you have seen that set of eyes before
As hard as you try to identify
There’s probably the furthest you can get



Noises of children and smoke of gentlemen’s cigars filled the air
And the women’s perfumes too
As if adding to the happy occasion
Little boys and girls running about, playing happily
By then more and more people had arrived
Now, Mothers can be seen holding their children tight
Fearing that they would be get lost among the huge crowd
Constantly, voices of mothers are heard
Telling her children not to simply trust and follow strangers
Because behind those well-made and fine masks
It’s hard to know who’s behind it
Let alone trust them
People can say the nicest things and might not mean it
Things that everyone would wanna hear
But the intention remains unclear
What do they exactly mean?
What do they want from you?



The festival has now ended
Everybody heads home
A mother and her little daughter packed their things
Ready to go home for some hot cocoa before heading to bed
On the way home, the little girl saw many expressions
Some happily walking home, some crying bitterly, some drunk and unaware
And even a mother crying and looking for the children
She looks up at her mother,
And smiled
She feels safe
Her mother looks down
Kneeled down and kissed her little girl’s forehead
Hands still clutching tightly to hers

After coming back from KL, did not do anything much. had a headache..sigh. weather i think. My gals said they missed me. Dunno how true la...missed me o missed what im bringing bk..LoL. jahaha...newayz, xin yi planned an outing the very next day i got off the plane. she must have REALLY missed me...wahaha..we went to watch I AM LEGEND. Aduh..sad la...both the dog and Will Smith had to die. Actually i was watching two movies coz sum1 sat next to me was more "kin tio" than Will Smith in the movie!!! how cute...prob i was enjoying that sum1's reaction more than the movie. kekeke..

The saturday nite itself was SOHO again... This time we sat outside. Only to realise SOHO has some good nite views plus the lightings. LOL.

The next nite, went to happy valley to celebrate Alex's birthday. it was unplanned, all last min.. Luckily was still in time to get a present. It was good to see the council gang again. But..poor alex. He was already not conscious till he could hardly open his eyes after cutting his birthday cake. Felt a lil tipsy too that nite cos the drinks mixed by Roy was prob too thick. Lol. But yeah..i got home in one piece. hehehe..

Hmm....i just realised i had been drinking two nites in a row.. err, is it bad???

KL Trip

Actually I got back on the 18^th but was lazy to blog or upload pics. Yes...im back and im fat. Geesh. Ate a lot okay… I think ate 6 times a day. Really indulged in food. Not just food but rich food. But, holiday seasons are a real good excuse to gain weight ain’t it?? LOL.

Secret Recipe’s Celebrity’s fav flavour...not available in Kuching ( I think..)

Hannah Tan’s Cookies and cream cheese cake… this is like heaven..!! Btw, the pretty Hannah T is from Kuching...(if im not wrong)

Aishah and Ashraf Sinclair’s Orange Cheese Caramel..not too bad but sweet. Those who love caramel wud love this

And my all time fav choc chip cookie…. Famous Amos!!

Reunion

Wee~ finally got to meet up with all of my gals! Yeap..all of 'em. Miss all of them. Yes..we do this reunion thingy once every year fro the past 3 years (i think..) when they come bk for holidays every year end. Was supposed to have dinenr at Corallium but it was closed do had our dinner @ Bella Italia instead. Haven't been there for a while now.. Food is still YUMMY!I loved the Fussili alla pollo..(that's if u are into pasta wid cream sauce) hehe.. Pics will be posted up soon...after i come back from KL. ;) Wee...excited...!!

Meet-Ups

Last Saturday nite, we had dinner at Country Court cos Sun wanted to eat "chu-cha". hehe..food was not bad but sorry..no pics. LOL. so many ppl bah! :D Newayz, after dinner we headed to SOHO. Like last week, it rained again, only later. Sienz! But luckily, we had a table booked for us and need not have to worry bout having no place to sit. It was quite quiet at first because the crowd only started to come in around 11 something. Thus, the first two hours was kinda moved very slowly.... Despite that, i believed we all had fun that nite.

:::Tragic:::

* May the souls of the ones that lost their lives at Lundu three days ago rest in peace. Real tragic, real sad...no one wants it to happen that way. Their parents will definitely find it the hardest to let go off their precious children especially having sending them to uni hoping that their children will have a better and bright future ahead of them. It's really sad.... it reminds me so much that life indeed is so so so short..nobody knows what will happen to us tomorrow or even the next minute. Do what u want to do today and don't procrastinate if it's important before regretting and realizing that it's too late one day. Live life to the fullest and make the most out of it each day. Life is just short, treasure the ones u loved and even if life does not go the way u want it to be, at least try to live it well and leave some good memories for yourself and the people around you. *
